WHICH A-LIST CELEBS PERFORMED LIVE TO HELP RAISE FUNDS AND SUPPORT TEAM HILLARY?

Monday, October 17th, Hollywood A-list came out to sing and dance, in hopes to help raise funds for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.  The star-studded Clinton fundraiser concert was held at the St. James Theatre in New York City.  Fans that couldn't snag a ticket to the concert tuned into Clinton's YouTube and Facebook pages which streamed the event live!  The night turned into a Hollywood who's, who event with several big time celebs who all said, "I'm with her!" including: Neil Patrick Harris, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Angela Bassett, Billy Crystal, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Julia Roberts, Emily Blunt, Ansel Elgort and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The WANNA voted and delivered the best moments of the night below!  Drum roll please....

Lin-Manuel Miranda Reworks Hamilton Song

At a Hillary Clinton benefit fundraiser on Monday night, celebrities from Hollywood and Broadway joined forces to support the Democratic presidential nominee. Broadway's biggest star, Lin-Manuel Miranda, took the stage to sing "Ten Duel Commandments," one of his hit songs from his musical Hamilton, but he personalized the song for Hillary Clinton.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of hit play Hamilton, rapped about Clinton and the importance of voting in a rewritten version of the song, "The World Was Wide Enough."  One memorable lyric goes, “Anybody here wanna shatter a glass ceiling?”

Bill Clinton made a surprise appearance at the fundraiser in support of his wife, which brought the crowd to a standing ovation.  He spoke to the audience about Hillary, saying, “She is the single best change-maker that I have ever known…She will make you proud.”

Neil Patrick Harris Throws It Back

Neil Patrick Harris reprised his Tony-winning role in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”  He sang the song, “The Origin of Love” with a troupe of backup ballet dancers, which presented a beautiful, moving spectacle.

Angela Bassett and Helen Mirren Speeches

Taking a break from all the song and dance, Angela Bassett recited Sojourner Truth’s “Ain’t I A Woman?” speech, while Helen Mirren performed a speech from Elizabeth Roosevelt.  Both A-listers called to mind the strength of women in our country’s past, as a salute to Hillary Clinton in her leadership role today.

Barbara Streisand “Phones In”

Barbara Streisand, one of the greatest singers of our time, lent her voice to the fundraiser, where she made introductions for the concert from Los Angeles.  She also appeared in a video for “Climb Every Mountain,” alongside Jamie Foxx.

And Of Course, Hillary Clinton’s Screen Appearance

Clinton herself could not make the fundraiser, but she did appear on screen in a good-humored segment.  She joked, “I auditioned for tonight's show and I wanted to sing with you, but Harvey and Jordan said I didn't make the cut,” in reference to the event’s producers, Harvey Weinstein and Jordan Roth.  She also said, “We’re in the final stretch of this campaign and we need your help to reach as many people as possible between now and election day.”

THE FUTURE OF FILM: FIRST "PAINTED" FEATURE BASED ON VAN GOGH’S ARTWORKS!

lovingvincent.com

lovingvincent.com

Vincent Van Gogh is known throughout the world as one of the greatest artists to ever pick up a paintbrush.  Van Gogh is known for both his unique painting style and his real life struggle with severe mental illness that led to his suicide.  His paintings “Starry Night” and “Café Terrace at Night” are among the many Van Gogh paintings you can find exhibited in most art museums and on bedroom walls.

In honor of the great artist, Polish painter Dorota Kobiela and filmmaker Hugh Welchman decided to create a film chronicling Van Gogh’s turbulent life and work.  The film, entitled “Loving Vincent,” will use a cutting-edge technique to create a "fully painted" look in the style of Van Gogh.  Over 120 of Van Gogh’s paintings will be used as source material, as well as 800 of his own handwritten letters.  After an advertising promo for the film was released, artists all around the world eagerly sent in applications to be a part of the film, and the few that were chosen traveled to Poland to begin training earlier this year.

The creation process begins with the actors in front a green screen or a Van Gogh-styled set.  Then animators have to translate the paintings of the selected artists into motion in the scene.  Apparently there are 59,874 frames in the film, so that could take a while.

A film has never been done in the “fully painted” style before, so this is a groundbreaking take on a new genre of film.  While the process is arduous, it will pave the way for future films and presents a bold new style of art.  “Loving Vincent” will no doubt turn out to be an incredible, beautiful feast for the eyes.

While we await the “Loving Vincent” film premiere in 2017, check out these amazing behind the scenes clips presented by director Hugh Welchman to help tide you over.

A presentation by Director/ producer Hugh Welchman, describing the behind the scenes production process of the world's first most eagerly awaited hand painted, animated, feature film. Drawn in the style of artist Vincent Van Gogh.

PLANET EARTH HITS A GRIM MILESTONE

Florian Gaertner via Getty Images

Florian Gaertner via Getty Images

Earth has hit a global warming milestone from which it may never bounce back.  Mauna Loa Observatory scientists in Hawaii revealed back in 2013 that carbon dioxide levels had reached 400 parts per million for the first time in “millions of years.”

On Wednesday, Climate Central posted a graph to Twitter, which demonstrates that the world has hit its annual minimum of carbon dioxide, yet it is still above 400 ppm.

Twitter, @ClimateCentral

Twitter, @ClimateCentral

This means that the CO2 levels may never drop below 400 ppm again.  September is usually the month for the lowest atmospheric carbon dioxide, yet this year they have been at an all-time high.

Ralph Keeling, director of the Scripps Institute for Oceanography’s carbon dioxide monitoring program, said, “I think we’re officially over for good.”

Keeling also said in a previous interview, “I think people accept the reality that CO2 is rising, but they don’t have a grasp of what it means quantitatively. I hope people remember this moment so that when they hear the carbon dioxide levels are 420 parts per million in a matter of years, they’ll say, “I remember when it was 400.”

NASA reports, “If fossil-fuel burning continues at a business-as-usual rate, such that humanity exhausts the reserves over the next few centuries, CO2 will continue to rise to levels of order of 1500 ppm.”

So what can you do to reduce your carbon footprint?  It can be as simple as turning off the lights in your home, recycling, and using less water.  You can also eat locally produced and organic food, and walk or bike instead of driving.  You can find many more ways to help our planet and reduce your carbon footprint here.

HILLARY CLINTON HAS PNEUMONIA – TRUMP REACTS

Bryan R. Smith/AFP/Getty Images

Bryan R. Smith/AFP/Getty Images

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton left early from the 9/11 Memorial Service at Ground Zero after she felt “over-heated.”  One Twitter video shows Clinton uneasily get into her van, aided by Secret Service agents.  Clinton then rested at her daughter Chelsea’s apartment for about 90 minutes, where she recuperated.  When she left the apartment, she said, “I’m feeling great.  It’s a beautiful day in New York.”  She also stopped to pose for a photo with a young girl, before she headed to her home in Chappaqua.

Clinton’s campaign released her doctor’s statement that said she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.  Dr. Lisa R. Bardack examined Clinton at home after the 9/11 memorial incident, and said, “She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule.  At this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated.”  Dr. Bardack also stated that, “Mrs. Clinton is rehydrated and recovering nicely.”

The morning after 9/11, Hillary told reporters, “Now the advice, of course, is just don’t talk for a day or two,” she laughed. “Yeah, that’s not gonna work for me. I’m just gonna keep talking and hope that power through and tomorrow I’ll be fine.”

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump responded to Clinton’s sudden illness on Fox News.  Trump said, “I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail and we’ll be seeing her at the debate.”  Trump then promised to share his own medical examination results, saying, “I saw what was going on with her and I said ‘you know I’m going to do something.’  I’ll be announcing, sometime during the week I’ll be handing out a paper with some very large numbers, hopefully very good statistics.”  He also added, “I feel very confident, otherwise I probably wouldn’t be telling you I did this.”

10 WAYS YOU CAN HONOR AND COMMEMORATE THE TRAGIC EVENTS AND VICTIMS OF 9/11

Associated Press via CNN.com

Associated Press via CNN.com

Unfortunately, this Sunday will mark 15 years since the horrific tragedy of the September 11th terrorist attacks.  Thousands of Americans lost their lives, leaving behind a grieving nation.

If you lived in NYC anywhere below 14th street, chances are you saw the tragic events unfold with your own two eyes.  Yet, despite the fact that the NYC skyline has changed, you may feel more connected to downtown Manhattan more now, then ever before.

Fact is, 9/11 did in so many ways forced NYC and the entire country to come together.  Yes, the horrible events on 9/11/01 certainly changed the way we all view  the world.  Now, as America faces a critical change of political power in this upcoming Presidential election, you may feel more compelled now more than ever to be a part of your local community and are looking for ways to volunteer or give back this weekend or month.

In cities all over the United States, people still come together on September 11th to commemorate and honor the victims of 9/11.

Below are ten different ways you can join your fellow Americans to honor, remember, and give back to the victims, their families, and America..."United we fall."

Joe Woolhead via 911memorial.org

Joe Woolhead via 911memorial.org

1.  VISIT the National September 11 Memorial & Museum – On September 11, 2011, in New York City, the National Memorial for the 9/11 attacks was officially revealed to the public.  The site instantly reminds people to "never forget."  The 9/11 Memorial displays the names of the victims, including the passengers and crew of the two airliners that were used by terrorists to strike and subsequently bring down both the north and south WTC towers.  Victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks including:  first responders, employees and visitors were from all over the world and are forever memorialized at the site that was referred to as,  "ground zero."

In May 2014, the 9/11 Museum was officially opened to the public.  Both destinations are a harsh and emotional reminder to us all.  Those who want to remember their loved ones or just self reflect are able to gather and experience the museum’s historical yet, "gut-wrenching" exhibition of those unimaginable and tragic events.

You can show your support by joining the thousands that visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum on September 11th each year to honor the victims.

2. DONATE to Charity – It’s 15 years later and people are still feeling the affects of 9/11, including the victims’ families, survivors, injured heroes and survivors.  Making a donation to one or more of the below charities will support the many victims still alive and left behind who were seriously effected by the attacks.

Wounded Warrior Project: Provides the servicemen and women injured during the attacks with lifetime support.  Their mission is “to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women; to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other; and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.”

Tuesday’s Children: Provides long-term support to the families of the victims of 9/11, as well as victims of other terrorist attacks globally.

The Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation: Founded by the family and friends of FDNY firefighter, Michael Lynch, after he was killed responding to the 9/11 attacks.  It is a scholarship fund that provides educational grants to the children of 9/11 firefighters and other victims.

3. SIGN-UP for the National Day of Service –  Don't have the funds to donate this year?  You can still give back.  Join your fellow Americans every September 11th to volunteer at a local event near you.  Your contribution goes a long way in honoring 9/11 victims and continuing service for other ongoing American hardships due to the attacks.  You can sign up on serve.gov and take part in various outreach, fundraising, and service projects.

4. GET PHYSICAL for a good cause - The 9/11 Stair Climb – In various locations throughout the country, people partake in “stair climbs” to pay tribute to the FDNY firefighters that responded on 9/11.  Climbers walk the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center, just like so many of the heroic first responders did.  To support their brave sacrifice, find out where your nearest climb is here.

5. GIVE BLOOD – Blood donations to the American Red Cross soared after the events of 9/11.  Naturally, people wanted to do everything in their power to help out.  Many years later, donating blood is still just as significant of a gesture.  The American Red Cross has partnered with 9/11 Day to encourage people to give blood in honor of 9/11’s emotional 15th anniversary.

6. GET PATRIOTIC! – Yes, we know July 4th has come and gone.  But, there are no rules, you can display and fly the American flag anytime you want.  This Sunday, in honor of September 11th, hang your American flag and display your pride, honoring the best country in the world!  The American flag is the ultimate symbol of solidarity and patriotism and reminds us to never forget any of the lives who were taken on this terrible day in our nations history.

7. VISIT St. Paul’s Chapel – Otherwise known as the “Little Chapel That Stood,” St. Paul’s was instrumental in helping recovery workers during the 9/11 attack.  For months after the 9/11 attacks, volunteers from the church, served meals, made up beds, helped show support and counsel the 9/11 workers.  St. Paul’s is also the oldest surviving church building in Manhattan.  It is worth a trip for both the historical significance and the role it played in such a horrible tragedy.

Britt Crosby

Britt Crosby

8. The New York City Fire Museum – This museum is free to the public on September 11th.  Inside, there is a 9/11 memorial honoring the firefighters who lost their lives.  On September 11th there will be a choir performance, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony.

9. Wall Street Walks – This walking tour company gives 9/11 tours around lower Manhattan, including Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial.  Make sure to book your ticket now!

10. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum – This museum hosts a photo memorial honoring New Yorkers who suffered fatal wounds from their time fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.  While not directly about 9/11, it serves as a strong reminder of the brave Americans that lay down their lives for our country every day.

CRITICS SLAM MATT LAUER ON TWITTER FOR LAST NIGHT'S ONE ON ONE INTERVIEWS WITH CLINTON AND TRUMP!

Andrew Harnik via Talking Points Memo

Andrew Harnik via Talking Points Memo

On Wednesday night, the “Today” show host, Matt Lauer moderated the primetime, NBC News “Commander-in-Chief Forum” conducting two separate thirty-minute interviews, first with Hillary Clinton and second with Donald Trump.  Clinton lost in the coin toss so Trump made her go first.

Several media critics ripped into Lauer’s line of questioning and even his overall behavior, during the primetime NBC News forum via Twitter.

Lauer was first criticized for his choice to question Clinton about the private email server issue.  This discussion lasted 10 minutes, which caused him to later shorten the conversation on ISIS.  When an audience member asked Clinton to explain her plans to defeat ISIS, Lauer interrupted and said, “As briefly as you can.”  Political commentator Norman Ornstein tweeted, “It is amazing. Lauer interrupted Clinton's answers repeatedly to move on. Not once for Trump. Tough to be a woman running for President.”

Lauer was also criticized for his questions directed at Trump.  Lauer asked Trump his opinion about the war in Iraq, to which Trump responded, “I was totally against the war in Iraq.”  But earlier, Clinton had referenced an interview Trump previously had with Howard Stern in which Trump said he supported the war.  Ezra Klein, Founder of Vox.com, tweeted, “It’s not a great idea, in general, for journalists to let politicians get away with bald-faced, on-camera lies."

Former aide to President Obama, Tommy Vietor, tweeted, “How in the hell does Lauer not factcheck Trump lying about Iraq? This is embarrassingly bad.”

Many other media critics took to Twitter to share their outrage and dislike for Lauer’s performance.

Former President Obama speechwriter, Jon Favreau tweeted, “I don't blame Lauer for asking the email question. But it's ABSURD that he started off with Trump, ‘Why should you be Commander-in-Chief?’”

FILIPINO PRESIDENT CALLS PRESIDENT OBAMA A "SON OF A WHORE!"

Josh Lederman & Kathleen Hennessey via Associated Press

Josh Lederman & Kathleen Hennessey via Associated Press

Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte went on a rant against President Barack Obama.  The two leaders were to meet in Laos for pre-scheduled meetings about human rights issues, when the controversial Duterte grew angry with President Obama.  He called Obama a “son of a whore,” and asserted, “I will swear at you.”

President Obama seemed to downplay the incident, and called Duterte a “colorful guy.”  But Obama’s aides later cancelled the planned joint meeting and rescheduled for a later date.

This is not the first instance in which Duterte has harangued a prominent figure.  He previously called the Pope a “son of a whore,” and U.S. Ambassador Philip Goldberg a “gay son of a whore.”

After the incident with President Obama, Duterte expressed regret through a spokesperson who said, “It came across as a personal attack on the US President."  The spokesperson also said, "We look forward to ironing out differences arising out of national priorities and perceptions.”

GIULIANI HAS CHOICE WORDS FOR DE BLASIO AND CLINTON – THE WANNA HAS THE EXCLUSIVE

We have no doubt that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is still batting for Donald Trump, thanks to his recent remarks about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.  Giuliani suggested that Clinton is suffering both physical and mental health issues.

Giuliani stated in an interview with Fox News Sunday that there were, “several signs of illness by [Hillary Clinton].”  He then urged viewers, “Go online and put down ‘Hillary Clinton illness.’  Take a look at the videos for yourself."

Clinton responded to these remarks during her appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she asked host Jimmy Kimmel to check her pulse, before pretending to struggle to open a pickle jar.

This isn’t the first time Giuliani has called out a member of the Democratic party.  Just last month, Giuliani told THE WANNA SHOW exclusively that Mayor Bill de Blasio is the reason NYC is “sliding back”!

THE FIRST CHINA AMERICAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE DEBUTS THIS FALL!

Gina Giordan

NFL Greats Make History By Launching Professional Football In China

The schedules are set, the arenas booked, the teams have hometowns, logos, names, coaches, and now the players have been added.

The China Arena Football League will kick off its inaugural season in October 2016 with six teams. It's been three years in the making for the CAFL and organizers have been determined to build a strong foundation. The historic league is the brainchild of very successful businessman Marty Judge, owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League.

Judge has teamed up with partners and NFL Greats Ron Jaworksi and Dick Vermeil. Other team executives include former NFL lineman Ed Wang (VP of League Development); former rugby player, coach and developer David Niu (President, AFL Global), and the head of football operations, Ken Bozarth. Chief Executive Officer of the CAFL is Gary R. Morris, who is president of the Judge Group.

On June 10th the CAFL held the league's first ever player draft, which was streamed live around the world and was broadcast in English and Mandarin. Over 500 players have registered for the draft, including many current US AFL star players, as well as standouts from Germany, Spain and Italy.

The CAFL Draft Show was anchored in the US by veteran sports broadcaster Lou Tilley, who will be joined in the studio by football experts from both the US and China.  Ed Wang will serve as a studio analyst. The former Virginia Tech and NFL standout lineman is the son of two native China Olympic athletes, and heads the CAFL's Beijing office. Ed's brother David,  also a standout at Virginia Tech, is expected to be selected in the first round. Clint Dolezel, the current head coach of the Philadelphia Soul, who will coach the Beijing Lions in the CAFL, will join the studio analysis, as will former NFL player and current AFL coach Phil Bogle. Other special guests will include CAFL and AFL-Global founder Marty Judge, along with founding partners Ron Jaworski and Dick Vermeil.

It should be noted that wenis has no official definition or spelling, but there has been a petition to make "wenis" an official word in the Dictionary.

Ever since Beyonce, K-Dash and T-Swift have been flaunting their buffed, bleached and polished wenis' in Hollywood, the latest global trend on the red carpet is the perfect wenis!

The First Olympic Refugee Team: Champions Against All Odds

For 10 athletes at the 2016 Olympic Games opening ceremony in Rio on Friday, just walking out in front of a global audience of over a billion people, was a massive achievement.

Why?

For starters, they are not just world class Olympic athletes...They are refugees of war representing the first ever Olympian refugee team!

That means these refugees, quite literally, survived explosives, swam across oceans and walked barefoot through entire countries… and then went through extensive, vigorous training to eventually qualify for the Olympics!

Remarkable to say the least... Take 18 year old swimmer Yusra Mardini

In fleeing war-torn Syria, Mardini swam for more than three hours in the sea to get to Greece after the small boat she was on capsized.  In doing so, she and her sister also helped more than a dozen non-swimmers on the boat also survive the treacherous journey.

Mardini, who now lives in Berlin, topped her heat in the 100m butterfly yesterday on day three. While her time was not quite quick enough to qualify for the semi-finals, she took to Twitter to acknowledge her achievement.

“I want everyone to think refugees are normal people who had their homelands and lost them not because they wanted to run away and be refugees,” she says, “But because they have dreams in their lives and they had to go. A lot of people in Syria forgot their dreams and I hope everyone will follow their dreams to achieve something good in the future.”

You can see Yusra in action again in the 100m freestyle heats later in the week.

The Wanna believes Yusra is already a winner!

WANNA GUESS HOW MUCH IT WILL COST YA TO PARTY WITH 50 CENT "IN DA" HAMPTONS?

Guest User

Effen Vodka

Effen Vodka

Thank goodness Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, is officially moving forward from his 2015 bankruptcy dilemma and back on the celebrity scene.

The rapper/actor is currently a co-executive producer and re-occurring character Kanan, on the Starz series, "Power."  50 Cent just announced this month, that he has a superhero-themed series in development with The Starz network titled, “Tomorrow, Today."

Despite Jackson's recent bankruptcy woes, he is still considered a successful business entrepreneur.  In 2007, 50 Cent was the richest rapper in hip-hop, behind Jay Z.   In 2014, Jackson announced he was part owner of, Effen Vodka produced in the Netherlands.  He currently endorses the product via his live concert performances and social media platforms.  50 Cent also promotes Effen Vodka by making appearances around the globe and this weekend he is scheduled to hit da Hamptons!

That's right, the famous rap artist is hosting a big event, "50 Cents Effen Hamptons Party!"  You will find Fifty "in da club" this Friday, August 5, 2016, at AM Southampton.

Question is, "How much will it cost to party with 50 Cent?"

General admissions tickets will set you back $50 bucks and include entry into the venue where 50 Cent is set to perform live.

For $2000.00 dollars you and seven of your closest friends will get an actual seat at a table, some where inside the club.

For $5000.00 thousand dollars ($400 per person) you and eleven of your friends will get the ultimate VIP experience which includes a table near 50 Cent, 4 bottles of Effen Vodka and 5 bottles of house champagne.  Proximity almost guarantees an autograph and a few memorable celebrity selfie-shots.  Imagine...you, Effen Vodka and 50 Cent?  Isn't this exactly the kind of networking experience you told your parents you would acquire on a summer internship in NYC?

If partying late night in da club isn't exactly your style, you still have a chance to hang with 50 Cent this weekend!  This Saturday evening, 50 Cent is also scheduled to attend an exclusive charity event.  Not a bad move on his part.  The rapper (who has since apologized) could use some good karma after his despicable "attack"  towards a 19 year old, Andrew Farrell, an airport janitor that suffers from autism.

This Saturday, August 6, 2016, the charity event, "A Night Under The Stars" will take place at the Campbell Stables on West Pond Drive in Bridgehampton at 6pm.  The proceeds are set to benefit several worthy causes including:  Starkey Hearing FoundationThe Needlers Foundation & the Long Island Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence (LICADD).  The event founder is Jason Zimmerman who initially partnered with friend and Executive Director of the Starkey Hearing Foundation, Brady Forseth.  Other notable guests scheduled to attend include:  Dacha Polanco (Orange is the New Black) and Verne Troyer (“Mini Me”).

If you wanna party Friday night at AM Southampton with 50 Cent, you can buy tickets HERE.
