It’s #GivingTuesday Today!

While Thanksgiving might have been last Thursday, we all still many things to be thankful for.  That’s why after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it’s maybe better to give something back.  Today is #GivingTuesday, a new tradition that barely started four years ago.  It’s day to give back to those who need it.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.

Created by the 92nd Street Y, a cultural center in New York City that, since 1874, has been bringing people together around the values of service and giving back, #GivingTuesday connects diverse groups of individuals, communities and organizations around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving.

A team of influencers and founding partners joined forces—collaborating across sectors, offering expertise and working tirelessly—to launch #GivingTuesday and have continued to shape, grow and strengthen the movement.

Last year, #GivingTuesday raised an estimated $45 million, with more than 15,000 non-profit organizations getting involved around the U.S., according the Case Foundation. This year, more than 30,000 organizations have signed up including The Child Mind Institute.

So just be ready to make your donation today, and make #GivingTuesday a tradition that’s worth to be remembered.
