Rumer Willis, the famous daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is wise beyond her years.  A few years ago, The WANNA hung out with Rumer at the Miami International Film Festival, where she revealed to host Gina Giordan that her parents Bruce and Demi told her, “Stay true to yourself.”  Their parental advice stuck with the now 28-year old actress and singer.  She continues to pass on that wisdom to everyone around her.

Take Rumer’s little sis, Tallulah, for example.  The 22-year old recently posed for several racy photographs and found herself the target of online criticism.  Rumer gave her sister some advice about her own experience in the industry: “There’s always going to be people who don’t like you…There’s always going to be people that do.”  She added, “And if you’re just yourself, you’re going to get people who love you for who you are.”

Last year, Rumer took home the trophy for the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars.  In an interview with Huffington Post, Rumer spoke about her time on DWTS: “I was given the platform to just say, here’s who I am, and just take the time to get to know that.  If you still have your opinion after that, that’s fine.  But just get a chance to figure it out first.”  For Rumer, being true to herself is just second nature.

So what’s next for the talented 28-year old?  Rumer starts her U.S. Cabaret tour, called, “Over the Love,” on October 25th.  The idea to go on a cabaret tour came about when Rumer performed at The Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan back in April.  Rumer dished about her time onstage at The Carlyle: “In a certain way, you're getting to have a conversation with the audience. I think that intimate settings like that, where people are really coming to listen to the music, is incredible. There aren't many spots like that anymore.”  Rumer loved the intimate feel so much, that she decided to tour the U.S. in a cabaret-style show at various small venues.  “Over the Love” involves Rumer telling the audience stories, and performing songs from her favorite artists, such as Etta James, Billie Holiday, and Amy Winehouse.
