ENRAGED METALLICA FANS TWEET OUT AGAINST THE "HORRIBLE" LIVE PERFORMANCE AT 2017 GRAMMYS

Kevin Winter/Getty Images

On Sunday, the 59th annual Grammy Awards ceremony aired live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  Beyonce, Adele, and Bruno Mars all performed live.  The evening had several live mishaps including Adele who had a meltdown center stage and pleaded with the audience to let her start over during her tribute performance to the late great George Michael.  Yet, the real train wreck of the night was the collaboration between Metallica and Lady Gaga.  Metallica’s performance was eagerly awaited by fans after the band announced their appearance back in January, saying they had “something very unique and special planned.”

Gaga and Metallica performed Moth Into Flame together, but lead singer James Hetfield’s microphone did not work initially.  Hetfield could be seen mouthing the lyrics, but the audience could not hear his voice.  The audio mishap led Lady Gaga to share her mic with Hetfield, and the two worked hard to make-up for the mishap.  By the song’s second verse, Hetfield’s mic was back in working condition.

Afterwards, Hetfield appeared visibly upset by the audio mess-up and threw his guitar off the stage, where someone on the side managed to catch it.  Twitter user Troy Hughes caught the moment on camera:

Actress and LGBTQ activist, Laverne Cox added to the mayhem when she initially introduced the highly anticipated rock performance and just threw it to Lady Gaga leaving out any mention of Metallica on stage.  Earlier today, Cox tweeted an apology:

Fans were outraged with how Metallica’s Grammys performance played out.  Many took to Twitter to express their disdain at the technical issue and show their support of Metallica.  Fans anticipated how someone would be “getting fired,” and others insisted the Grammys should “get it together.”  THE WANNA has gathered the most entertaining reaction tweets below!

On Sunday night, approximately 111 million people tuned in to watch Super Bowl LI, which was held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.  The New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 after a huge comeback from the Patriots, leading to Tom Brady becoming the first quarterback to win five Super Bowl titles.  Lady Gaga gave a halftime show performance that the internet loved, celebrities posted their festivities on Snapchat and Instagram, and the game set Twitter abuzz for most the night.

And this year, the Super Bowl brought viewers some of the best new commercials of 2017.  Each year, the Super Bowl is well known for premiering some of the most creative, entertaining and moving commercials.  Companies spend millions of dollars on their Super Bowl ads to make sure they are top-notch entertainment.  According to the New York Times, the average cost of a 30-second ad during this year’s Super Bowl LI was $5 million, up from $4.8 million a year ago.  On top of that, some companies are spending upwards of $12 million to advertise the commercials before the actual game, which shows just how big an impact the Super Bowl ads can be on viewers.

THE WANNA has gathered the TOP 5 of the most watched Super Bowl LI commercials below.  Enjoy!

Tide – Terry Bradshaw Stain

This creative ad mixed reality into its premise when Terry Bradshaw showed up on live television with a red stain on his white shirt.  The stain was a ploy to set up the Tide ad that came later, which followed Bradshaw’s hilarious journey to get his dirty shirt cleaned.  Bradshaw ends up in Jeffrey Tambor’s house, the star of the original three-part Tide commercial with Rob Gronkowski, and washes his shirt using new Tide PODS Plus Downey.

No stain deserves fame. Check out how Terry Bradshaw found a better clean with Jeffrey Tambor and new Tide PODS® Plus Downy.

Get ready for action in our Big Game commercial featuring Jason Statham and Gal Gadot. When Felix, a business owner in a disruptive world, has to deal with Gal and Jason destroying his bistro, he keeps his cool. Why? Because with Wix, he knows he'll always stay stunning.

Audi – Daughter

This Audi commercial involved a father’s narration about how he would have to tell his daughter that the men in her life are “worth more” than she is, despite her “drive” and “intelligence.”  The ad called attention to the gender wage gap with an ending title card that said: “Audi of America is committed to equal pay for equal work.”

Progress is in every decision we make, every technology we invent, every vehicle we build. It's our past, our future, our reason to exist. Audi of America is committed to equal pay for equal work. A 2016 report by the U.S.

Budweiser – Born The Hard Way

In the 60-second ad, which cost about $10 million, Budweiser showed the journey the company’s founder, Adolphus Busch, faced while immigrating to America.  After his arrival on U.S. soil, Busch is greeted with jeers from people saying, “You’re not wanted here!  Go back home!”  After the commercial aired, Trump supporters called for a Budweiser boycott.  But Budweiser has clarified that the ad had nothing to do with Trump’s immigration ban: "Our focus this week is on our Super Bowl ads and our brands.  We created the Budweiser commercial to highlight the ambition of our founder, Adolphus Busch, and his unrelenting pursuit of the American dream.  This is a story about our heritage and the uncompromising commitment that goes into brewing our beer.  It's an idea we've been developing along with our creative agency for nearly a year."

KATY PERRY SAYS PLANNED PARENTHOOD TAUGHT HER “HOW THINGS WORK DOWN THERE"

David Becker/Getty Images

David Becker/Getty Images

While some celebs have chosen to join in on the anti-Trump riots including: Mark Ruffalo, Josh Hutcherson, and Lady Gaga.  Others have chosen to move forward and speak out about certain Liberal issues that are incredibly important to them...

Pop star Katy Perry, an avid Clinton supporter, proved she will continue to be a Democratic voice despite which party is in office in January.  This past Saturday evening, Perry made her fans proud when she publicly posted on Instagram that she made a $10,000 donation to the "pro-choice" and pro sex education organization, Planned Parenthood.

In the Instagram post, Perry expressed her fear of Planned Parenthood being defunded “in the future by the government.”  It's obvious Perry is like millions of other pro-choice advocates who are anticipating President-elect Donald Trump will stay true to his campaign threats to cut government funding for planned parenthood, once he takes office in January, 2017.

We give Perry major props for her pro-choice post which revealed a very personal and positive experience she had with Planned Parenthood as a young girl.  Perry (a preacher's daughter) revealed how growing up, her family was “lower-to-middle class," and they could not afford health insurance.

Thanks to the help and services of Planned Parenthood she was able to receive some necessary sex ed.  Katy said it was her "sheltered upbringing" that left her with no idea of “how things work down there!”  But Planned Parenthood gave her the sex education she needed.  Perry's exact post stated,  “Planned Parenthood educated me on my body and my reproductive health, so that I could focus on my dreams and using my voice until I knew the timing was right for me to make a plan to have a family.”  She also said her experience with Planned Parenthood allowed her to become a “voice for others.”

The WANNA wants to know what you think!

If you were famous, would you publicly support Planned Parenthood?  Comment below!

You can read Perry's entire post below.

It's time to turn words into action❗️There are so many steps to take, but my first vow is to support organizations that may have their funding support taken from them in the future by the government. I am making a public donation to Planned Parenthood for the teenage me who made several visits to first a clinic in Santa Barbara and then Los Angeles, CA to educate myself on my sexual health, a subject I had little to no information on because of my sheltered upbringing. I had no idea how things worked down there, and had no idea how to make a plan for them. Planned Parenthood educated me on my body and my reproductive health, so that I could focus on my dreams and using my voice until I knew the timing was right for me to make a plan to have a family. Since then, I have been able to focus wholeheartedly on bringing messages of strength and becoming a voice for others. Without this education, I may have had a different life path. That is just my experience, but I know Planned Parenthood's broader range of services can sometimes be the only medical support low-income families ever see. I know what it's like to need help. I came from a lower- to middle-class family and never grew up with the option of health insurance. I remember having 13 cavities as a teenager, and the best option my parents could come up with was to try and take me to Mexico because we couldn't afford anything in California. I am grateful for and stand in support of Planned Parenthood for giving Katheryn Hudson the knowledge to plan, and for continuing to be a haven for women to learn all options for their future. Now, more than ever, we all need to protect and create safe places for each other. I hope I can help inspire you to make a gift as well, and become a member and an ally. THE CHAINSMOKERS OFFER TO BUY LADY GAGA A DRINK AFTER TWITTER FEUD

Another week, another celebrity Twitter feud to report.  In this episode, Lady Gaga threw some serious shade at The Chainsmokers after they dissed her music.

In a recent Rolling Stone interview, The Chainsmokers were asked about Gaga’s single, “Perfect Illusion.”  Member Alex Pall answered, “It sucks.”  He followed up with, "A lot of talented people worked on that song. But...,” scrunching up his nose to show his dislike.

Several days later, Lady Gaga tweeted her comeback:

@ladygaga, Twitter

@ladygaga, Twitter

The Chainsmokers responded to Gaga’s sassy tweet in an interview with NME.  First, they offered to buy her a drink the next time they see her.  Pall then praised Gaga, saying, “She killed that tweet, it was such a response from her. I love banter, and that was such a clever, witty response. 10/10.”  He added: “It was just my opinion, which I thought nobody would give a shit about. She can have that victory, I hope her album does incredibly well.”

Thankfully, The Chainsmokers vs. Lady Gaga feud was pretty short-lived and tame.  We hope she takes them up on that drink offer soon!

LADY GAGA HONORS THE VICTIMS OF THE TRAGIC SHOOTING IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA!

This past Monday evening, pop star and longtime LGBT activist, Lady Gaga joined thousands of mourners in Los Angeles at City Hall, honoring the victims of the Pulse nightclub tragedy.

The iconic and outspoken performer gave an emotional speech and read off each of the names of the victims, while she fought back tears.  Gaga directed her words at the entire LGBT community and said, “I hope you know that myself and so many are your allies. Not only me, but everyone here. We represent the compassion and the loyalty of millions of people around the world that believe in you. You are not alone, you are not alone.”

In addition to Gaga's heartfelt speech at Monday’s vigil, she also posted on Instagram the photo below:

It’s no surprise to Gaga fans that she came out to support.  She’s been a long-standing advocate for the LGBT community for years.

In 2009, Gaga appeared on the cover of Out magazine and she used the cover interview as an opportunity to discuss her stance on LGBT culture.  Gaga revealed, “I very much want to inject gay culture into the mainstream.  It's not an underground tool for me. It's my whole life. So, I always sort of joke the real motivation is to just turn the world gay.”

In 2012, she created a video message and addressed Maine, Minnesota, Washington, and Maryland about the vote for marriage equality.  She says in the clip, “I just wanted to remind those of you who live in Maine, Minnesota, Washington, or Maryland that you can actually vote for marriage equality on the ballot this year,” using her fame as a popular musician to get the word out.  Check out the video here:

When the U.S. Supreme Court passed marriage equality in 2012, Gaga took to Twitter with a photo and captioned it, “#Lovewins over prejudice.”

Gaga's Grammy nominated song, “Born This Way,” sends clear messages of acceptance and appreciation for the LGBT community.  “Born This Way” was the first top hit on Billboard charts to include the word “transgenders” in the lyrics.

In March 2011, the pop star made a deal with Target stores in which she would only allow them an exclusive release of the Born This Way album if they ended dealings with anti-gay groups, and contributed to LGBT charities.  She stated, "Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they've made in the past ... our relationship is hinged upon their reform in the company to support the gay community and to redeem the mistakes they've made supporting those [antigay] groups."

BOWIE'S BLOOD AND DIEHARD FANS DISAPPOINTED BY GAGA'S FAILED GRAMMY TRIBUTE...

BOWIE'S BLOOD AND DIEHARD FANS DISAPPOINTED BY GAGA'S FAILED GRAMMY TRIBUTE...

See the innovative collaboration from music's biggest night. Subscribe NOW to GRAMMYs on YouTube: http://grm.my/1dTBF8H About GRAMMYs: The recording industry's most prestigious award, the GRAMMY, is presented annually by The Recording Academy. A GRAMMY is awarded by The Recording Academy's voting membership to honor excellence in the recording arts and sciences.

Let's get this straight, we are fans of Lady Gaga.

There is no debating that she is an incredibly talented musician and actress.

In fact, Ms. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta's recent "Best Actress" Golden Globe for her performance in "American Horror Story," was well deserved.

But, Gaga's tribute performance at the 73rd Grammy Awards show, in honor of the legendary David Bowie, is getting some serious criticism by Bowie fans and even Bowie's son, Duncan Jones, who tweeted his disdain after the tribute, "overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused." Damn it! What IS that word!?

Gaga's tribute kicked off with an extreme close up on her face, with an image of Ziggy Stardust's famous make-up, superimposed over her.  When Gaga started singing that's when the performance took a turn for the worse.  Dressed in a high waisted jump suit that looked more Elvis (circa late 70's) then Ziggy, she rushed through a disjointed medley of Bowie's legendary hits, including Space OddityChangesZiggy StardustSuffragette CityRebel RebelFashionFameUnder PressureLet's Dance and Heroes.

Unfortunately, Gaga's tribute seriously missed the mark.

Gaga's performance left fans wondering, was this a showcase for Gaga or a Bowie centric tribute?

Gaga's performance was more about a Gaga resurrection or comeback into the current music scene, then about honoring Bowies contributions and legacy to Rock music.

The tribute was chaotic and more about Gaga transforming into Bowie (at one point she even distorted her voice to emulate his signature sound) versus Gaga just simply being Gaga and singing (in her signature voice) a tribute to Bowie.   We would have preferred Gaga chose one song and put her unique spin on it.

We must admit, the entire production of the awards ceremony also displayed an unformatted, chaotic, disjointed collection of visuals.  The Director was off in the pacing and the sound quality confused viewers.

Now, lets not shoot the messenger.  Clearly, Gaga stepped up to the massive challenge.  She is an obvious fan and where were the other artists to pay tribute to Bowie this year?  Not one other well known musician felt compelled to honor Bowie?

There is no question Gaga is a super fan of Bowie and in the end she did ultimately honor his legacy just by taking a risk.  Sometimes the risk reward doesn't payoff but, taking a risk is essentially honoring the essence of what Bowie was all about.

Speaking of the music scene or shall we say, lack of music and more about an abundance of narcissistic self aggrandizement, the current music scene is entrenched in a formulaic machine that generates at best, mediocre music.  Overall, the music generated today seriously lacks elements of what Bowie's music symbolized:  real substance, originality, authenticity and a sense of sacrifice and struggle.

Bottom line, if Bowie represents the passing of a musical era and Gaga is the Millennial representative expected to carry on the spirit of Ziggy Stardust, then what will be the future of Rock and Roll?

Will any new artist truly carry on the substantial cultural impact that Bowie and several artists of that era contributed to society?

Only time will tell...
